As proud graduates of UNC, we always relish the opportunity to give back to the school that both educated and corrupted us. Since getting cut from the basketball team, Carolina Soul founder Jason Perlmutter has had to find new ways to contribute. This Friday, he will deliver a well-constructed, occasionally spontaneous lecture at Chapel Hill’s academic temple of choice, Wilson Library. This event is made possible by the incredible folks at the Southern Folklife Collection, who continue to make CarolinaSoul.Org look like Friendster. Jason will address timely questions like, “Who is Brief Encounter?” “Where are the Hot Nuts?” and classics like “Is this going to be on the test?” For a few fortunate undergrads, this lecture is mandatory; Arrive early to guarantee seating.
